Welcome to the first in our ongoing Movers & Shakers series celebrating the people and businesses that are making things happen in this vital District. Dianna Rose, Founder & CEO of Essential Kitchen Co, launched the 6,000 square-foot Commercial Kitchen and Incubator at GatewayJFK to empower local culinary professionals and small food businesses.

Essential Kitchen houses a fully-equipped, commercial-grade kitchen for shared use to produce products, and provides access to resources for food entrepreneurs to learn how to apply for city, state and federal contracts, including the M/WBE certification program. As the first-ever commercial kitchen space in South Queens, its mission is to support local food entrepreneurs in launching, growing and scaling their businesses.
