Movers & Shakers: Jamaican Flavors

Jamaican Flavors, located at the intersection of Farmers and Rockaway Boulevard, came from humble beginnings and with one product – the Jamaican beef patty. Today, Jamaican Flavors creates a wide variety of authentic Jamaican products sold through their multiple retail locations.

Led by Camille Curtis, the roots of Jamaican Flavors began with Great Grandmother Agnes Brissett’s time-tested recipe from Kingston, Jamaica in 1931 when she began selling hand-made beef patties on the corner of King Street in Downtown Kingston, serving the community out of a small coal heated patty pan for many years.

Jamaican Flavors serves the GatewayJFK community and beyond with a variety of Jamaican foods, available to eat on premise or take home, catering and baked goods, including occasion cakes and other specialties from their Flava Bakery
