On Airport: CBP Seeks Proposals for JFK Airport Area Centralized Examination Station (CES)

As a major international point of entry for millions of people and trillions in value of goods crossing U.S. borders, JFK International Airport’s U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is requesting proposals for the development of a Centralized Examination Station (CES), a privately operated facility where import and/or export cargo, designated by CBP for physical examination would take place. Held cargo would be transferred to the CES and then released if deemed compliant. The Target Area for a potential CES facility includes on and off-airport locations.
